Job summary

Holman is seeking a Payroll Analyst to fully support and implement process improvements within the payroll function in a hybrid US-based role. You will facilitate the adoption of new tools, train staff, and ensure smooth integration with existing processes.

The position requires 2–4 years in payroll administration and strong Excel/ERP skills. You will extract payroll data for analysis, prepare documents for audits, and stay current on payroll-related regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint).
• Experience with payroll processing, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with payroll software or HRMS; Workday a plus.
• 2–4 years’ experience in payroll administration or related roles.
• Familiarity with process mapping, requirements gathering, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to collect and analyze raw data to identify trends and anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Fully support and implement process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
• Facilitate adoption of new tools and technology within the payroll department; training staff and ensuring integration.
• Extract payroll data and convert it into meaningful information for analysis and reporting.
• Prepare documents for internal and third-party audits and annual reporting; ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with regular payroll runs; verify tax payments and filings.
• Stay updated on legislative changes related to payroll and ensure compliance.
• Ensure internal controls within payroll.
• Support Year End processes; ensure accuracy of tax filings.
• Provide support to payroll team on projects and required testing; assist with planning and execution.
• Perform other duties and special projects.
