Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process payroll transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain payroll reports. The role involves auditing benefits and HR transactions, and coordinating with banks for HSA, 401(k), and FSA activities.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of payroll experience (2 years preferred) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Hybrid work with on-site presence in Brooklyn, OH is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; collective experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 1 year payroll experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Basic accounting knowledge and ability to interpret policies.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit payroll transactions; reconcile payroll accounts and benefits in UKG.
• Review and reconcile HSA, 401(k) and FSA transactions; coordinate with banks and HR Benefits.
• Interpret court documents and manage wage attachment transactions; liaise with courts, attorneys, agencies and employees.
• Assist and back up Sr. Payroll Administrator and Manager; perform other duties as assigned.
