Job summary

Solmax is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to support accurate and timely payroll processing and administer employee benefits. You will serve as a primary contact for benefit inquiries, enrollment, deductions, and related HR processes, while ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

The role requires 2–5 years of payroll/benefits experience, familiarity with multi-state payroll, and proficiency with HRIS systems such as UKG, ADP, Kronos, Workday or Oracle.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (UKG/ADP/Kronos/Workday/Oracle) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: backup for Payroll Analyst; process multi-state payroll on schedule; audit timekeeping and payroll changes; manage deductions and direct deposits; assist with year-end payroll activities.
  • Benefits Administration: administer medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, HSA/FSA, and retirement plans; manage enrollments and COBRA; reconcile invoices and eligibility reports.
  • HR and Compliance Support: maintain HRIS/payroll records; ensure wage and hour, tax, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA compliance; generate reports; support audits.
