Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, or related field.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience preferred; clinical background.
• Experience in large healthcare organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Department Chairs and Patient Care Services to facilitate internal medical peer review and analyze serious patient concerns and adverse events.
• Analyze adverse events and prepare for regulatory or accreditation visits.
• Maintain confidentiality of peer review, performance improvement, and risk management information.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk with CRICO and hospital teams.
• Review and develop hospital policies related to patient safety.
• Identify barriers to improvement plan implementation with hospital leaders.
• Provide education and support to nurses, physicians, and committees on patient safety topics.
• Contribute to orientation and training of department staff.
• Assist in preparing presentations for committees and clinical groups under supervision.
• Be available to work during hospital emergencies and regulatory reviews.
