Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Navigation Specialist to provide coordinated, compassionate support for patients needing enhanced navigation across BILH and its community hospitals. You will work with clinical teams and philanthropy partners to ensure timely access to care and a positive patient experience.

The role requires discretion, strong communication, and the ability to manage sensitive situations. Hybrid work in Needham, MA with some on-site and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, healthcare setting encouraged.
• Experience navigating complex patient needs and sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with hospital operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary resource for patients via phone, email, and in person interactions.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, transfers, and access to specialty care.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to support navigation needs across sites.
• Explain care pathways and available resources to patients and families.
• Promote clear communication between patients and care teams with dignity and equity.
