Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support a provider and ensure a smooth patient experience across onsite and hybrid schedules. The role includes charting in the EHR, coding entries, and coordinating insurance precertifications and scheduling for procedures.

You will interact with patients, physicians, and payers, ensuring timely communication and accurate scheduling while travel to TN sites is required for coverage.

Qualifications

• Understanding CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding medical terminology.
• Experience with an EHR or NextGen is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional manner.
• Update patient charts in the EHR with histories, exams and treatment plans.
• Enter E/M/CPT codes and submit charges to the coding department.
• Provide patient education and review home exercise programs.
• Coordinate scheduling of procedures and follow-up appointments.
