Job summary

Harbor Health Services in Mattapan, MA is seeking a Patient Accounts Associate to join our Billing team. The role focuses on entering charges, submitting claims, posting payments, and resolving discrepancies while ensuring timely billing.

The position offers hybrid work after training, with on-site collaboration and remote work portions, and supports a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, disability, 403b, and generous PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in medical billing.
• Working knowledge of billing systems; EPIC/OCHIN EPM highly desired.
• Computer literate with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and applies pending charges from the EPM system.
• Reviews/adds/removes charges on patient accounts as directed by the coder.
• Acts as a billing liaison for the coder when questions arise.
• Bills claims weekly from the billing system.
• Runs reports to ensure timely billing and submission of claims.
