Job summary

Patient Funding Alternatives (PFA) seeks a Patient Advocate Specialist to identify and enroll eligible hospital patients into the HIPP program. This full-time hybrid role combines on-site work 2-3 days per week at Intermountain Health, Saint Joseph Hospital with remote days handling documentation and follow-ups from the home office.

You will educate patients, collect necessary documents, coordinate with hospital staff, and hand off cases to state operations and benefits teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
• 2+ years in a patient-facing or customer-facing role with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to work independently on-site with limited supervision.
• Working proficiency with a CRM or case management system; familiar with iPad/iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach eligible patients and families from hospital referrals.
• Explain HIPP clearly and compassionately, adapting to each family's situation.
• Gather authorizations and documentation needed to move an application forward.
• Own your caseload from first contact to enrollment.
• Represent PFA on-site and build relationships with hospital staff.
