Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Packaging Engineer / Technical Program Manager to manage the development of new packaging designs in partnership with an external subsupplier. The role serves as the primary technical and program interface to ensure designs meet product requirements, timelines, quality, and manufacturing needs.

It is a short-term contract, approximately three months, aligned with an active hardware program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years in packaging engineering or hardware product development.
• Experience developing or supporting packaging for complex hardware.
• Strong supplier/vendor management experience.
• Ability to review packaging designs and provide technical feedback.
• Experience managing schedules, milestones, and technical risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage an external sub supplier through packaging design development.
• Serve as the interface between internal engineering teams and the supplier.
• Define and communicate packaging requirements, specs, and deliverables.
• Review supplier packaging designs and provide technical feedback.
• Track design progress, schedules, milestones, risks, and issues.
• Drive supplier accountability and on-time deliverables.
• Coordinate design reviews and decisions between teams and suppliers.
• Identify risks and drive issues to resolution.
• Ensure packaging meets product, manufacturing, shipping, and quality needs.
• Support validation and design changes as required.
• Maintain documentation and communicate program status to stakeholders.
