Job summary

TASC, a nonprofit focused on treatment alternatives for strong communities, seeks a Deflection Specialist for the Partners for Progress Initiative. This role engages communities, provides outreach and education, and acts as the public face for TASC in designated areas.

The position centers on direct client services and building local partnerships. Ideal candidates will have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deliver trainings on naloxone and related topics, and coordinate with

Qualifications

• Outreach to communities and direct client services experience.
• Experience presenting at local or national conferences is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with behavioral health and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in achieving service plan goals through direct services and coordination of behavioral health, public agencies, and community resources.
• Make referrals to essential direct services: substance use treatment, recovery support, housing, etc.
• Attend community events and conferences to educate on law enforcement diversion and outreach to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Assist Medicaid enrollment for uninsured individuals when needed.
• Conduct follow-up activities to obtain required documentation for participant needs.
• Develop relationships with program staff and community partners.
