Job summary

Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks an Operations Specialist to support our Chicago South, Central and downtown Aon Center locations, with a potential hybrid schedule for the Aon Center.

The role focuses on reviewing, processing, and maintaining accurate Gas Services records, verifying work order documentation, and helping ensure safe operations, reliable system records, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience identifying and implementing solutions to problems.
• High School Diploma, HSED or GED.

Responsibilities

• Works across the company to support field operations and meet internal/external customer needs.
• Performs data entry and updates in company systems; maintains accurate records.
• Verifies work order documentation and resolves discrepancies with field personnel and internal teams.
• Creates and routes work orders and supports timely completion of tasks.
• Performs administrative tasks while handling multiple assignments and projects.
