Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is seeking an Associate Operations Business Analyst for the Surety team in Southfield, MI, operating on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on supporting letters of credit, billing, reporting, and compliance while coordinating with underwriting,Legal and banking partners.

You will translate business requirements into design specifications, support automation and workflow improvements, and contribute to training materials and QA testing.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate independent analytical, decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Must be a proven self-starter with strong communication, listening and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to analyze and interpret data, systems and workflows.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite as well as electronic underwriting systems.
• Strong experience with running queries, reports, and analytics with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Supports administration of surety-backed letters of credit and coordinates with Surety leaders, Legal, Underwriting and banking partners.
• Handles billing, reporting and compliance tasks for the Surety product.
• Supports accounts, finance and financial reporting related tasks.
• Develops business requirements and documents design and specifications for moderately complex solutions.
• Assists with QA test plans and training materials; may provide second‑tier support and training.
