Summit Utilities, Inc. is seeking an Operations Accountant (SGL15) for a hybrid role that can be based in AR, MO, OK, or ME. You will apply GAAP accounting, prepare financial reports, and work with payroll and expense entries to support month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Regulated utility accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and complete standard and complex journal entries for month-end close (payroll and expenses).
• Prepare entries in accordance with close calendar deadlines.
• Perform trend analysis on assigned accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Assist in process improvements and implement approved ideas.
• Maintain organized work for management review.
• Collaborate with State Ops and FP&A on coding, research and questions.
• Contribute to special projects and ensure initiatives reach completion.
• Assist in annual audits: complete PBC schedules and respond to auditors.
