Lynker Corporation seeks a Support Scientist for Operational Wave and Storm Surge Modeling Development to accelerate marine modeling capabilities in support of NWS operations. Hybrid schedule: 2 days/week at NCWCP College Park, MD and 3 days from home.

You will work on physics-based, probabilistic, and AI/ML surge/wave frameworks with atmospheric forcing and data visualization interfaces. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in meteorology/oceanography, experience with spectral wave models and

Qualificações

• MS in meteorology, physical oceanography, coastal engineering or related field; 5+ years in weather forecasting/oceanography/coastal science.

Responsabilidades

• Support development, testing, and integration of wave & surge models within operational architectures.
• Advance coastal hazard predictions and total water level guidance.
• Develop web interfaces to visualize model output for stakeholders.
