Fox Valley Technical College invites qualified individuals to join our adjunct instructor team at the Appleton Main Campus. Facilitate student learning through varied instructional strategies across hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online formats, while continuously updating curriculum to meet employer expectations.

The role emphasizes assessment, student success, and community engagement, with opportunities for professional development and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related field is required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
• Minimum of two years full-time (or 4,000 total hours if part-time) of occupational experience in the program being taught.
• One year (or 2,000 hours) within five years prior to appointment; may be waived for instructors with 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Foster student learning by developing instructional strategies for diverse student needs across delivery modalities (hybrid, in-person, virtual, online).
• Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to improve persistence, retention, and course success using data.
• Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials that are competency-based and aligned with employer expectations.
• Maintain attendance and grade records, ensure safe instructional environments, and provide course materials to students.
• Engage in division/department/team activities, contribute to planning, development, and budgeting, and stay current with changes.
• Build relationships with community and industry partners, participate in recruitment efforts, and promote the College and programs.
• Advise students on schedules, career information, internships, and program-related details to support student goals.
• Pursue professional development and stay current with teaching trends and technology; maintain required credentials.
