Job summary

Acumen Technology in Nashville, TN is seeking a curious, detail-obsessed Onboarding Specialist who becomes the first point of contact for new clients and ensures a smooth support experience from day one.

You will own discovery and documentation across networks, servers, and applications, collaborate with our Professional Services team on Entra ID and Microsoft 365 projects, and travel to client sites as needed in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• 2-4 years of hands-on systems administration or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, and backup/DR.
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and the Microsoft 365 admin center.
• Demonstrated documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who can manage workload with minimal oversight.
• Ability to interview stakeholders to extract needed information.
• Comfort with MSP documentation platforms and improving structure.
• Valid driver's license for client site visits.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery for every new client: networks, servers, firewalls, line-of-business apps, licenses, credentials, backups, and related items.
• Produce documentation that is accurate, structured, and useful to engineers.
• Ask the questions nobody else thought to ask to uncover gaps early.
• Work independently and drive the discovery process forward.
• Partner with the technical team during tooling deployment and ensure documentation is complete.
• Support Professional Services project work between onboardings (MS 365, Entra ID, Azure).
• Be the face of Acumen Technology to clients with excellent customer service.
