Job summary

American River Logistics, Ltd. is seeking an Ocean Export Coordinator for our Long Island operation in Farmingdale, NY. This in-person role offers hybrid options and requires experience in international ocean freight, strong communication, and a focus on accurate documentation and compliance.

You will manage the export process end-to-end, liaise with customers and vendors, and provide timely updates while striving for optimal pricing and service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an international ocean freight department.
• Proficient with Outlook, Windows, Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of EEI filing, FMC rate filing, and intermodal trucking.
• College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong phone and email communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure efficient service.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors to secure best value.
• Prepare and verify export documentation and compliance with US regs.
• Provide customers with updates on shipment status.
