Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial title insurance and underwriting principles.
• Experience evaluating complex commercial transactions and insurability.
• Ability to interpret title commitments, surveys, and related documents.
• Proven communication with lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers, and agents.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi‑tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Open and establish new transaction files and draft preliminary requirements and notes for title commitments.
• Review purchase, loan documents, title documents, surveys, and diligence to identify issues and risks.
• Coordinate all aspects of title orders from opening to closing with clients and internal teams.
• Assist senior underwriters by gathering and organizing documentation for underwriting decisions.
• Track due diligence items such as title searches, UCCs, and tax certifications.
• Analyze title searches, surveys, and legal descriptions to identify defects.
• Prepare title commitments, endorsements, and settlement statements per standards.
• Work with escrow and closing teams to clear title requirements for closing.
• Communicate with agents, attorneys, lenders, and stakeholders to maintain workflow.
• Support post-closing processes including policy issuance and record verification.
