Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a National Commercial Title Coordinator and Processor for its Midtown Manhattan office. This hybrid role supports commercial real estate transactions from opening to closing, coordinating with lenders, attorneys, brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate title work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial title processing or related CRE transaction role.
• Experience assisting senior underwriters with complex commercial deals.
• Strong knowledge of title insurance, underwriting and title commitments.

Responsibilities

• Open and establish new transaction files with accurate records.
• Review purchase/sale/loan documents and identify title issues.
• Coordinate all aspects of commercial title orders from opening to closing.
• Assist senior underwriters by gathering documentation for underwriting decisions.
• Order and review due diligence items like title searches and tax certificates.
• Analyze title searches, surveys, and legal descriptions for defects.
• Prepare title commitments, preliminary reports, endorsements, and final policies.
• Draft requirements and notes for title commitments under supervision.
• Work with escrow officers and closers to clear title and ready for closing.
• Communicate with agents, attorneys, lenders, and stakeholders.
• Resolve curative issues by researching public records.
• Provide post-closing support including policy issuance and recording verification.
• Monitor workflow and manage multiple files to meet deadlines.
• Support audits and process improvements within the title dept.
• Participate in ongoing training to expand underwriting knowledge.
