Job summary

RugsUSA is seeking an E‑Commerce Revenue Recognition & Accounts Receivable Specialist to accurately record and reconcile revenue from online channels, with a focus on Amazon. This hybrid role requires on-site presence in our Manhattan office 3–4 days a week.

The ideal candidate will manage Amazon settlements, AR, cash application, deductions, and related GL activity, while supporting month-end close and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience in revenue accounting or related role.
• Direct experience reconciling Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, or Amazon marketplace transactions.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with high-volume cash application, account reconciliation, deductions, collections, and month-end close.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Record e-commerce revenue in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606.
• Reconcile e-commerce sales to ERP, GL, and bank activity.
• Manage Amazon settlements, deductions, chargebacks, and cash applications.
• Prepare journal entries for revenue, discounts, and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit requests.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
