Job summary

RugsUSA is seeking an E-Commerce Revenue Recognition & Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure accurate revenue recording and AR activity for high-volume Amazon channels. The role focuses on ASC 606, GAAP compliance, and month-end close, with hybrid work in Manhattan.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in revenue accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Three+ years in revenue accounting, accounts receivable, e-commerce accounting, or related role.
• Direct experience reconciling Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central transactions.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience with high-volume cash application, reconciliations, deductions, collections, and month-end close.
• Strong journal entry, GL, balance-sheet reconciliation, and financial reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and large-data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, accuracy, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Record e-commerce revenue per U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, including returns and variances.
• Reconcile Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central activity with ERP and GL.
• Manage accounts receivable, cash applications, and aging reports; follow up on past-due balances.
• Prepare periodic revenue and AR reports and support month-end close and audits.
