Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Education Secretariat, is seeking a Fiscal Officer VI to oversee the Financial Management Section within the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs in Everett. This full‑time, hybrid role reports to the Director of FNP and focuses on budget, procurement, financial reporting, audits, and compliance while supporting program integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time or equivalent professional financial management experience.
• At least one year in project management, supervisory, or managerial capacity.
• Substitutions: certificate for one year, Bachelor's for two years, Graduate degree for three years, Doctorate for four years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgetary, procurement, financial reporting, audits, and payment activities by FNP Financial Management staff.
• Manage the SFA Resource Management Comprehensive Review and Procurement Review process for on-site and off-site reviews.
• Conduct external training on financial management topics and develop trainings with the Nutrition Education and School Wellness Training Coordinator.
• Create and update internal policies and procedures for efficient financial management service delivery.
• Collaborate on claims for reimbursement, fiscal action, and FNP contract work.
• Evaluate the nutrition software system for efficiency and necessary enhancements.
