Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to lead the MOV program across its Nuclear Fleet. The role focuses on oversight of MOV engineering, regulatory compliance, and coordination with MOV Engineers at each site.

The position includes a hybrid schedule with a 4-day workweek, offering a broad range of challenging projects and opportunities to mentor others. The ideal candidate has strong nuclear engineering credentials, program management experience, and the ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in engineering required; MS can substitute
• Senior level: BS + 6+ years or 5+ years with PE; nuclear experience preferred
• Nuclear Engineer III requires BS + 4+ years; PE not required

Responsibilities

• Lead MOV code application and regulatory compliance for the fleet.
• Own and administer MOV program documents and fleet procedures.
• Review MOV program revisions and perform MOV calculations.
• Review and approve MOV Diagnostic Test Traces and fleet software updates.
• Coordinate outages support and provide engineering guidance across nuclear facilities.
• Mentor engineering staff and communicate with management at all levels.
