Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Nuclear Engineer III/Senior Nuclear Engineer to manage the MOV program for the Nuclear Fleet, ensuring compliance with code and regulatory requirements. This role will oversee fleet MOV software, coordinate with engineers at multiple facilities, and contribute to industry groups.

The position offers a 4-day workweek (Mon-Thurs) with a hybrid schedule, requiring some on-site work at Charlotte or North/South Carolina plants; travel is periodic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• A Master’s degree in engineering is considered in lieu of B.S.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience; 1 year nuclear plant experience

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for MOV code and regulatory requirements across the fleet
• Administer MOV program documents and Fleet Procedures
• Review MOV program document revisions and calculations
• Manage budgeting, interfaces, and updates for Fleet MOV software
• Lead and coordinate fleet MOV Working Group and industry collaboration
• Provide engineering guidance and develop technical reports and recommendations
