Job summary

Join Sargent & Lundy in a role focused on nuclear power plant systems design, including engineering analyses, drawings, and procurement documents. The position offers a three-day-in-office hybrid schedule and potential relocation assistance based on location.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited degrees and 5+ years in the nuclear industry, with bilingual Spanish/English abilities. PE license is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• PE license preferred, but not required.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write).

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
• Prepare or review technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options and evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes.
• Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with the client and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status.
• Lead engineering project teams.
