Job summary

Duke Energy in Seneca, SC seeks a Component Engineer for the Maintenance Support Engineering Team. The role focuses on managing mechanical components to ensure equipment reliability, with emphasis on Turbine/Generator operation, support systems, and secondary plant operation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Support Engineering Manager, the engineer will monitor performance, coordinate with Design, Maintenance & Operations, oversee testing, ensure NRC/industry compliance, and evaluate PM/PdM

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the site subject matter for the Station.
Monitor and trend equipment performance.
Interface with vendors to ensure repairs and refurbishments are properly managed.
Direct onsite testing and troubleshooting activities for emergent issues.
Coordinate cross functionally with other departments to manage concerns, schedules, budgeting and related issues.
Ensure regulatory compliance with NRC and industry standards.
Evaluate Fleet Operating Experience and industry learnings to improve Component performance.
Evaluate PM and PdM program performance and recommend improvements.
