Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a Component Engineer for the Savannah Machinery Works location, responsible for lifecycle management, industrialization, and ongoing improvement of gas turbine components across manufacturing, repair, qualification, and field support activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing or related field.
• 10+ years in engineering supporting gas turbine components.
• Experience as technical lead for component families and nonconformance disposition.
• Ability to read and apply engineering drawings, specs, and industry standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to leadership and customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for assigned gas turbine component families and ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
• Maintain and expand technical expertise in component design, manufacturing, repair, and inspection.
• Lead nonconformance disposition and repair development/industrialization projects.
• Define repair scope and engineer product improvements for safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
