Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks a Principle Engineer to provide daily technical engineering support for component design and analysis. You will lead technical responsibility for major components such as steam generators and pressurizers, supporting upgrades and repairs for the nuclear fleet.

Hybrid work from Madison, PA is available. Reporting to the Manager of Component Engineering & Chemistry Operations, you will apply engineering judgement, perform calculations, and prepare

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
• Proficient in ANSYS.
• Working knowledge of ASME codes.
• Experience in scope, schedule and budget development and monitoring.
• Team leadership and collaboration.
• Ability to communicate technical information.
• Familiarity with Inventor or SolidWorks CAD.

Responsibilities

• Design activities including installation, fabrication, testing and qualification of repairs or replacements.
• Assess and qualify pressure boundary components and internals; address degraded conditions.
• Develop solutions for complex problems and outage issues.
• Perform engineering calculations and FEA using ANSYS or similar tools.
• Meet project commitments, schedules and budgets; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Address customer and regulatory requirements and concerns.
• Provide technical scope descriptions and cost estimates; identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare technical reports and present information to internal groups, customers and regulators.
• Support inspections and maintenance during outages at headquarters or customer sites.
