Job summary

ABN AMRO Clearing USA LLC is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global security perimeter. The role focuses on firewall rules, VPNs, and secure network design while coordinating with data centers and application owners.

The position is based in Chicago with a minimum of three onsite days per week and occasional on-call nights and weekends. Strong collaboration across teams is required, along with a security-by-design mindset and ownership of tasks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a network security engineer in banking/financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Security-by-design mindset and ownership attitude.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the bank's third-party network security perimeter.
• Integrate security solutions and ensure sound operation.
• Analyze and optimize core and perimeter firewall rulesets with data center operator.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with departments on network security projects.
• Provide technical support during troubleshooting.
• Stay up to date with peer teams and advise network teams.
