Job summary

Tiger Advisory is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance its mission-critical banking infrastructure from our New York office. This role emphasizes stability, security, and performance of enterprise networks in a highly regulated financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fortinet, F5, and Arista technologies, along with production support and a strong ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Network & Security Engineer or similar role.
• Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VPN/DMZ).
• Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Manage network security platforms including firewalls, load balancers, and secure remote access.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Arista switching infrastructure.
• Configure routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and VLAN technologies.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security; resolve issues.
• Support high-availability architectures and DR initiatives.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Provide Level 2/3 production support and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with security, infra, and app teams to ensure secure connectivity and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain network documentation and configuration standards.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance its mission-critical global banking infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network environments while supporting business-critical applications across a highly regulated financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, security platforms, and production support, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement secure, resilient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and DMZ environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Manage and support network security platforms, including firewalls, load balancers, and secure remote access solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Arista switching infrastructure.
• Configure and support routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and other enterprise networking technologies.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Support high-availability network architecture and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new network technologies.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for critical network incidents and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as required.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure connectivity and compliance with banking standards.
• Maintain network documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal governance requirements applicable to financial institutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Network & Security Engineer or in a similar enterprise networking role.
• Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a financial services or other highly regulated environment.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• VPN technologies
• Routing and switching

• F5 Load Balancers
• Arista Switching
• Strong understanding of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and VLAN technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Required Certification

Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A / Level 1) certification or higher (Level 3 preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within global banking or financial services organizations.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, Zero Trust, and enterprise security best practices.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery network architectures.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
• Experience with automation and scripting for network administration is a plus.
