Job summary

Jane Street Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Network Security team to design, deploy, and operate our global, multi-vendor network infrastructure with a security focus on firewalls and proxies.

You will work with traders and application owners, improve observability, automate with scripting, test new platforms, and collaborate with Cybersecurity to detect threats.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience operating and deploying network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of firewall architecture, performance metrics and components.
• Experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with encryption techniques and PKI.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security perimeter and adjacent network infrastructure.
• Evolve network segmentation and DMZ as part of secure architecture.
• Evaluate and lab-test new platforms for network security.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to detect threats and vulnerabilities.
• Interface with application owners and traders to enable secure workflows.
• Improve observability, scripting, and communication of requirements to software engineers.
• Enhance network security processes and documentation.
