Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain the enterprise network across office locations, including LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and SASE platforms. The role supports hybrid work from the Toledo, Ohio office and involves ensuring uptime, security, and seamless connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in enterprise networking, experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler, Cisco Meraki, and Azure networking, and a relevant IT degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS preferred.
• 3+ years of LAN/WAN, wireless, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Reliability: monitor availability, performance, capacity; troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
• Routing, Switching & Wireless: configure/maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers/APs, IP addressing, IPAM, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, 802.1X/NAC, QoS.
• Secure Connectivity: manage next-gen firewall, VPN, secure access, web gateway policy, network segmentation; lifecycle planning.
• Cloud & Hybrid Networking: connect offices to Azure and SaaS; private connectivity, peering, zero trust access.
• Offices/Acquisition: support new offices, moves, branch changes, integrations; site assessments, cutover planning, validation.
• Change Management & Documentation: follow change control, maintain diagrams, inventories, runbooks; evidence for audits.
