Job summary

The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) seeks a Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations across its network with a focus on accuracy and on-time pay. This role uses Workday Payroll to process payroll for multiple sites and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.

Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with HR, finance, and school teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Four to six years of progressive payroll experience required.
• Experience processing payroll in a high-volume, multi-state environment required.
• Experience utilizing Workday Payroll and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned employee groups using Workday Payroll.
• Review and approve employee self-service payroll changes in Workday.
• Validate hours and payroll data through time/attendance systems.
• Process stipends, bonuses, and ad hoc payments.
• Prepare and process manual payroll checks when needed.
• Monitor payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance.
