Job summary

Pharos Admin Services in Glendale, CA is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support the Payroll Manager with multi-state payroll operations, client service, HRIS administration, reporting and compliance.

You will analyze payroll data, perform audits and reconciliations, resolve issues, assist with quarter-end and year-end processes, and help maintain robust payroll controls while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality across our client environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll experience; multi-state payroll is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is required.
• Strong Excel, reporting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports and identify discrepancies, trends and exceptions.
• Research and resolve payroll issues, corrections and complex pay questions.
• Support multi-state payroll compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll processes, audits and reconciliations.
• Provide payroll support and subject-matter expertise to internal teams and client facilities.
• Maintain payroll documentation, procedures and training materials.
• Support HRIS administration, reporting and troubleshooting.
• Identify and assist with payroll process and control improvements.
• Provide cross-trained coverage for corporate Payroll operations.
