Job summary

General Motors in the Charlotte area is seeking a summer internship in the Performance Analysis team. You will work with a senior mentor on a multi-faceted project involving vehicle dynamics, data analytics, and software tools, delivering results through regular check-ins.

Hybrid work arrangement with four in-person days per week at the Charlotte Technical Center. Start dates are May 24th and June 14th, 2027, offering hands-on learning and a culminating project report.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Physics (Bachelor/Master/PhD) and graduating after Jan 2028
• Available for full-time summer internship (40 hours/week)
• Strong interest in vehicle dynamics, controls, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GM Motorsports across departments and learn toolchains
• Complete a primary internship project with analysis and documentation
• Version control code in GitHub and document procedures in Confluence
• Produce a final report detailing findings and process
