Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an Advanced Leak Detection Driver and Survey Technician to collect data on potential natural gas emissions from utility facilities. You will drive a company vehicle, perform on-foot inspections, and operate mobile methane/ethane leak detection equipment in all weather conditions to ensure accurate monitoring.

The work model is Hybrid within Missouri and Alabama, with day-to-day operations in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; leak survey experience preferred.
Must be able to walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds; outdoor work in all weather.
Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
Candidates must have a valid US driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Permanent work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

Collect data on potential emissions from natural gas facilities and perform field investigations to determine follow-up needs.
Operate a company vehicle to survey map areas daily and conduct on-foot inspections.
Drive and operate advanced mobile leak detection equipment to identify emissions.
Record findings and generate detailed reports.
