Job summary

ABB is looking for a field technician to collect data on potential natural gas emissions from facilities and perform on-foot inspections as needed. The role involves driving a company vehicle to survey areas and using specialized software to analyze data and prepare reports.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, with travel as needed to support field operations, reporting to the Field Service Team Leader. The schedule is hybrid within Missouri and Alabama, primarily in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass evaluation to become Operator Qualified.
• Candidates must have a valid US driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Collect data on potential emissions from natural gas facilities and conduct field investigations to determine if follow-up is needed.
• Operate from a company vehicle to survey map areas daily and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Drive and operate mobile leak detection equipment to identify potential emissions.
• Record findings and generate detailed reports.
