Job summary

Advastar, Inc. is seeking a Mission-Critical Project Manager for our Kansas City metro operations. Own the project from order acceptance through engineering, manufacturing, shipment, and closeout; maintain schedule-driven control and customer relationships.

Hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite weekly with ~10% travel; PMP preferred; bachelor’s in engineering/related field; 3+ years in industrial/ETO environments; base salary $100K–$115K plus SIP bonus; comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, PM, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years managing technical, schedule-driven projects in industrial/manufacturing/ETO environments.
• PMP certification or formal project-management training is strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering mission-critical or data center projects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, and submittals and spot discrepancies.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, shipping, and construction to protect the critical path.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ERP, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own customer projects end to end from sales handoff through closeout.
• Build and actively manage schedules, milestones, and critical-path activities.
• Catch scope gaps, drawing discrepancies, and project risks early and drive them to resolution.
• Move engineering submittals, RFIs, customer comments, and change orders through to closure.
• Keep engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, shipping, and construction aligned and moving.
• Give customers and internal stakeholders clear, current status: risks, decisions, action items, and recovery plans.
• Run several concurrent projects at once with accuracy and follow-through.
