Job summary

EMCS, Inc. is seeking an experienced structural engineer to design and detail bridges and other transportation structures across the Midwest. The role emphasizes high-quality design, site investigations, and collaborative project delivery.

You will develop concepts, size structures, perform load ratings, hydraulic design, and prepare cost estimates, with hybrid scheduling and growth opportunities. Indiana PE license or eligibility within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 4–8 years of bridge design experience with local/highway/interchange bridges.
• Indiana PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven experience with INDOT and Indiana counties.
• Proficient in AASHTO LRFD design for bridges and related structures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete design calculations and plan prep for bridges and ancillary structures.
• Perform site visits and inspections of transportation structures and report findings.
• Develop concepts and size proposed structures; prepare quantities and cost estimates.
• Compute load ratings and perform hydraulic design and scour analyses.
