Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a certified middle school special education science teacher to join the Duluth, GA team and support students through high-quality virtual instruction. You will deliver synchronous and asynchronous lessons, engage families, and use data to drive growth while aligning with Georgia standards.

From the office and home, you will collaborate with teachers and SPED staff, administer assessments, and participate in required in-person activities across Georgia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate; able to obtain within 30 days.
• Licensure for Middle Grades Science 4-8 and Special Education Science Cognitive 4-8.
• Strong technology skills with MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources.
• Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions within MTSS/RTI to support student growth.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and SPED staff to meet student needs.
• Administer, score, and provide feedback on assessments; track attendance and progress.
• Travel within Georgia for events, training, and state testing as required.
