Job summary

New York Public Radio, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Giving Associate to support our mid-level donor program with donor engagement, stewardship, and revenue growth.

You will perform donor acknowledgments, respond to inquiries, assist with events, and help manage multi-channel campaigns. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in fundraising or customer-facing roles, strong organizational skills, and comfort using databases like Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, development operations, administration, or a customer-facing role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfort working with databases and spreadsheets; Salesforce preferred but not required.
• Experience with email systems and digital communications a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, warm, and donor-centered approach to work.
• Ability to effectively solve problems as issues arise within the scope of work.
• Demonstrated interest in building a career in development or nonprofit management.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for donor events.
• Passion for public media and commitment to NYPR's mission.

Responsibilities

• Support timely, accurate donor acknowledgements reflecting NYPR values.
• Act as point of contact for mid-level donors via phone and email.
• Assist with donor stewardship activities and events.
• Provide logistical support for campaigns including renewals and upgrades.
• Project manage multi-channel communications schedule.
• Develop QA processes with Development Operations to improve data integrity.
• Run basic reports to support program analysis.
• Track departmental expenses and assist with invoicing.
• Provide operational support to allow focus on strategy and revenue.
