A prominent AmLaw 200 firm in Miami is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Property & Casualty Insurance practice. The role focuses on sophisticated insurance coverage disputes, including bad-faith matters, in a collaborative environment that values initiative, teamwork, and client service.

Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics and writing skills, and Florida Bar admission in good standing. 3–6 years of coverage litigation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing, required.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurers and clients in complex insurance coverage litigation.
• Analyze policies, coverage issues, exclusions, and governing case law.
• Handle bad-faith claims and related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide written analyses on coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Manage matters with deadlines for court, clients, and internal teams.
• Communicate with clients about case developments, strategy, risk, and next steps.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies.
