Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure uninterrupted production by planning and coordinating material flow, inventory, and schedules. You will work with suppliers, production, purchasing, and logistics to balance demand and inventory.

The role requires ERP experience, a degree in a related field, and strong communication. Hybrid work arrangement with relocation considerations for Tooele, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Experience in material purchasing and planning in a manufacturing setting is required or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision, Business Central, SAP, etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate material requirements to meet production plans.
• Monitor and manage material inventories and supply.
• Forecast materials and adjust plans with supervisors as needed.
• Requisition and maintain inventories to meet production needs.
• Monitor inventory metrics and disposition of excess/obsolete items.
• Collaborate with management to adjust schedules due to shortages or issues.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and distribute schedules to departments.
• Serve as escalation point to supply base and internal partners.
