Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Tooele, UT seeks a Materials Planner to coordinate material flow, inventory, and production plans. You will collaborate with suppliers, production, purchasing, and logistics to balance demand and inventory, using MRP/ERP tools and data analytics.

The role supports production scheduling, inventory control, and cost calculations, with a hybrid work model (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 2+ years in material purchasing and planning or 6+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Navision, Business Central, Paragon, SAP).
• Microsoft Office proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule material to meet production plans and maintain flow.
• Monitor and manage material inventories and supply.
• Forecast materials requirements and discuss changes with supervisors.
• Requisition and maintain inventories to meet production demands.
• Track turns, inventory levels, and obsolete disposition.
• Revise production schedules due to shortages or disruptions.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and distribute work orders.
• Act as escalation point to supply base and management.
• Collaborate with Canton PDC to ensure supply chain flow.
• Support RPPL Materials tasks during new product launches.
• Coordinate accounting for price corrections and material costs.
