Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Tooele, UT is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure uninterrupted production by planning and coordinating the flow of materials, components, and inventory across manufacturing operations.

You will work with suppliers, production, purchasing, and logistics to balance demand and inventory, forecast material needs, and adjust schedules as required. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in material purchasing and planning in a manufacturing setting; or 6 years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Navision/Business Central or SAP.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule material to meet production plans and coordinate with departments.
• Monitor and manage material and inventory supply levels; assess production data.
• Estimate/forecast material requirements; adjust plans with supervisors.
• Requisition and maintain inventories to meet production demands.
• Monitor inventory turns, target levels, and obsolescence disposition.
• Collaborate with management, production, engineering, and work orders to revise schedules.
