Job summary

Silvus Technologies, Culver City, CA, is seeking a Material Planner to join the Operations – Supply Chain team to coordinate material availability for production and meet customer requirements. This role works cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Shipping, Quality and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, capable of working independently, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of planning, procurement, or logistics.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams including production, planning, purchasing, logistics, and customer service to ensure material availability aligns with customer demand and production schedules.
• Track incoming shipments and proactively follow up on delayed or at-risk deliveries with buyers, suppliers, and freight carriers.
• Monitor material requirements and inventory levels to minimize production disruptions and support On-Time Delivery (OTD).
• Collaborate with buyers to identify and proactively communicate supply shortages, scheduling conflicts, and delivery delays to internal teams, and escalate…
• Participate in team meetings to review priorities, risks, and action plans.
• Maintain accurate planning reports, delivery schedules, and material status updates to ensure on-time delivery of materials required for production and customer shipments.
• Utilize ERP/MRP and internal planning tools to make informed decisions on material availability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
