Job summary

Technology Service Corporation is seeking a Material Planner Scheduler III to oversee the material planning process, ensure material availability for production, and optimize inventory levels.

The role functions as the liaison between Procurement, Production, and Program Management, providing leadership and expertise to support contract execution at the Huntsville, AL site. Hybrid work arrangement with reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 5–7 years in material planning or production planning.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Deltek CostPoint, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage advanced material requirements plans (MRP) to support schedules.
• Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory trends.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address planning challenges.
• Serve as primary point of contact for material planning issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement to place POs and ensure material delivery.
• Optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Address shortages and adjust plans as needed.
• Mentor junior planners and procurement teams.
