Job summary

USIC is hiring a Marketing & Communications Generalist to support marketing initiatives and internal communications. The role focuses on website administration, content development, conference and sponsorship coordination, and multi-channel communications.

The ideal candidate will manage CMS content, draft and edit stories, and produce engaging content across websites and social channels. Hybrid in-office role in Indianapolis with opportunities to leverage AI tools for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in marketing/communications.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
• Experience creating and publishing content across websites, social media, and internal communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day website content updates and landing pages.
• Coordinate internal communications, newsletters, and organizational updates.
• Coordinate conference and event logistics, including registrations and vendor coordination.
• Oversee sponsorships: agreements, payments, fulfillment, deadlines.
• Support content development for websites, social media, internal communications, and marketing materials.
• Serve as day-to-day liaison with external social media agency for content and assets.
• Create routine graphics and presentation materials using brand templates (Canva/Adobe).
• Gather photography and video content; produce simple videos with basic editing.
• Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, and content libraries; assist with dashboards.
• Leverage AI tools to support content creation and process improvements.
