Job summary

ChemPoint is seeking a Market Developer to act as a technical product specialist and secure new business in the Plastics & Elastomers markets. You will identify opportunities across end markets, consult on formulation and usage, and drive campaign-based sales with project specifiers and R&D personnel.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product Managers, training delivery, and supporting growth through the full sales cycle. Hybrid work is available in Bellevue, WA and The Woodlands, TX.

Qualifications

• Science or Technical degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ sales or industry or product experience within relevant focus area.
• Experience and sound knowledge of using PC and Windows OS.
• Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite.
• Technical proficiency for select products and industry segments, with the ability to quickly learn.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales campaigns by performing targeted sales calls to project specifiers and R&D personnel, testing and refining product value propositions.
• Define objectives, resources and plans to achieve customer-focused solutions and product line goals.
• Support Product Line growth by handling full sales cycles and providing technical support after transition to an Account Representative.
• Develop and demonstrate technical proficiency by collaborating with customers, supplier contacts and Product Managers.
• Build and deliver product and industry training for sales representatives as needed.
