Actalent in Elgin, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support capital projects, drive equipment reliability, and lead continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. The role provides technical support to operations and maintenance teams to improve throughput and OEE.

The candidate will analyze data, participate in FAT/SAT, and lead kaizen events while developing standards and best practices for maintenance and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience supporting capital projects and equipment.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and commissioning of capital projects.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Track project scope, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Participate in FAT/SAT to verify equipment performance.
• Analyze downtime to identify reliability improvements.
• Lead kaizen events and process improvements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards.
